Student Help
Q: Are there trainings offered at SF State that would be helpful?
A: DOIT, the Division of Information Technology, offers an ongoing schedule of web and graphics training classes for all SFSU students. Please check their schedule of workshop offerings, especially in Dreamweaver. Also check the class schedule for departments that offer graphics applications and web authoring courses.
Q: Are there labs where I can work?
A: There are computer labs on campus with varying software applications, schedules, and user restrictions. Bring your SFSU student photo id to use the labs. The John F. True Computer Lab located on the first floor of the library has 24-hour computer access for all students, on a first come first serve basis, with a 2-hour limit per session. It has both MAC and PC interfaces, web authoring and graphics applications, scanners, and black and white printers. The Media Access Center on the third floor of the library has restricted hours, a shorter waitlist, and color printers available. Please check the listings of labs on campus.
